The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.
Applications at the moment are open and can shut on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must meet the following criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a house that has a combined gross domestic earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined house profits would not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and wish not submit any proof of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan nsfas check Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent people from homes nsfas status check with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
Applicants are reminded to offer the right Identity Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are finding out or intend to study nsfas status at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
